I want to thank Grant DePorter,
Beth Heller and Sonja Leskinen of Harry Caray's for one of the best birthday parties I have ever had. Thank you to our wonderful
Illinois Governor, Pat Quinn, for the declaration of Ernie Banks day. It was unbelievable the amount of fun it was. The people,
food, drinks and music were excellent. It could not have been a better celebration. Thank you also to everyone
at the Cubs organization for their participation and to Soloist Regina Rice and her band for their outstanding music. We danced
the night away. I am humbled and thankful. I will never forget this event. Thank you to everyone who attended. I had a wonderful,
wonderful time.
In my life time, I have had many,
many wonderful times. This birthday celebration is at the top of the list. In lieu of birthday gifts, I asked
that donations be made to one of three charities. Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation Illinois, (JDRFIllinois.org)
in honor of my friend, Ron Santo, Cubs Care (Donate.McCormickfoundation.org) and Live Above and Beyond Foundation (ErnieBanksLiveAboveandBeyond.com).
